Project 1 Idea, by Denys Ladden
So far my goal for our first project is to attempt to explore the seclusion that future technology is progressing towards. I know this sounds quite on par with the current times. However, notice that I didn’t in particular mean social seclusion. I have a view that technology in fact facilitates our connectivity at an immense speed. Yet it also could be the exact opposite, electronics are submissive and people are in-fact the complete opposite of that. We can be comfortable behind our screens and still feel connected. We can indeed be lonely and happy as long as we are “connected”. That is a mammoth of a topic. So, rather, my goal will possibly be to explore the disconnection with nature and self, then people in particular. I think it is clear that the dystopian future although not predictable, will have a powerful effect on how we connect. Yet I think it will certainly have a huge impact on connection with the precise thing that makes us who we are.

My concept for What the Future May Hold refers to the notion that in the future machines will have all of the jobs and humans will be paid ...

This is, as you say, a mammoth topic, and I agree that narrowing the scope is helpful. I also agree with your suggestion that it's difficult to engage with the physical world around us as our work, social and recreational lives increasingly entail engaging with the world virtually. Looking forward to seeing your creative approach to this topic.
